ST Personal uses its internal, rechargeable battery to
provide GPS tracking telemetry for up to 10 hours of
vehicle motion. The unit is programmed to shut down to
conserve battery power when the device is not moving,
reducing the battery drain significantly when the unit
is idle. Your ST Personal purchase also includes a
free AC (House) charger to recharge
the internal battery. You can also purchase the
optional DC charger for your vehicle and never worry about the battery
level.
ST Personal has five preprogrammed buttons you can
use to get the most out of the device.
- Geofences: Two of the buttons are programmed for
geofencing operations. Simply press either
button to set a circular geofence of 500 feet at the
current location of the device. You will
receive a report whenever the device enters or
leaves this geofence.
- Alert: This button will send a report to your
tracking site letting you know that the alert button
has been pressed. The system can forward this
alert to any number of people via email or text
messaging.
- Reporting Rate: There are times when too much
tracking data can be a distraction, and you may want
to reduce the reporting rate when on long cross
country trips, or when you want to reduce the number
of datapoints displayed on the map. Pressing
the slow reporting button will slow the update rate to
one report every 5 minutes. The fast reporting
rate is either 30 seconds or 2 minutes depending
upon your subscription.
About half the size of
ST Battery, ST Personal is
easier to conceal when the application requires covert
monitoring.
